If you’re looking for different things to do with your kids on weekends or school breaks, try the GetOut pass! With one pass, you have access to so many attractions under one price.

Previously, we used Pogo Pass to have access to many different attractions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but as of spring 2026, they have merged with Get Out Pass to bring you even more attractions under 1 price — now called the GetOut pass.

I initially reached out to Pogo Pass, wanting to promote the pass since I thought it was such a great deal for families living in the areas where it was offered. We received complimentary tickets in exchange for promoting the pass. You can read about our experience with the previous Pogo Pass for Dallas, which included many of the same venues offered with the GetOut pass for DFW.

This summer break alone, we went to Hawaiian Waters Waterpark, the National Videogame Museum, Sci-Tech Discovery Center, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, floated around a lazy river, let my kids loose in an action park, and went ice skating — all using the pass! Paying for all of these separately would have definitely cost us a lot more than the price of these tickets.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to go to all these attractions all at once because you have 1 year to use your pass. It’s the perfect solution for those weekends when you have nothing planned and want to just get out of the house. You’ll probably discover some new places you might not have known existed, too!

Let me just cover some of the basics of what you get with these tickets.

What is the GetOut pass?

The GetOut pass is an annual pass that offers you entry into many different venues in the city or state you choose for the price of one ticket. It’s a great deal for those looking to go to different attractions around the city but don’t want to pay the full price for all of them. With this pass, you can have access to many more venues than the cost of the pass.

There are so many different cities and states available with the GetOut pass. Here are all the locations where the GetOut pass is available:

How Much Does the GetOut Pass Cost?

The price of the GetOut pass depends on the location you choose. Each location has different venues that are included in the pass, so each destination has a different price. The more expensive the tickets to the venues, the higher the location’s ticket price will be.

Certain locations have Add-On Venues for an additional price. These venues may cost more, but the add-on price is still lower than what it would cost to enter these venues separately.

You can take a look on the GetOut website to see which venues are available for your desired city or state and the price.

How Does the GetOut Pass Work?

In order to use the GetOut pass, you will need to purchase a ticket for each member of your family (or guests) who will be using the pass. Even if parents are not participating in some venues, you still need to purchase a parent ticket to be able to take your children in.

Although lots of venues are marketed for children, but you don’t necessarily need to have children to enjoy these passes. There are plenty of venues for adults to enjoy, and you can just skip the ones that are meant for young children. You should still have plenty of places to go that will make it worth the price of your ticket.

How Long Is the GetOut Pass Good For?

The GetOut pass is good for 12 months, so you have all year to use your pass. This gives you plenty of time to fit those outings around your free weekends, days off, and potential breaks. You might even want to try a pass for a different city or state for a vacation.

How Much Can You Save With the GetOut Pass?

How much money you can save with the GetOut pass will depend entirely on how many venues you choose to go to. If you are ambitious and go to all the venues, including all the sports games offered, and max out every opportunity, you’ll surely save a lot! But even without that ambitious schedule, pick a few must-go places for you and go there first. You will most likely have paid for the ticket with just a few outings. Every new place you try will feel like it was free after that!

If you want to see a detailed example of what you can save, I’ve created a price breakdown of the GetOut DFW venues. This is for you analytical, detail-oriented types who want to see examples with actual numbers.

You’re welcome. I did it because I was curious too.

Is There a Discount for the GetOut Pass?

Yes, I have a coupon code that you can use to get $5 off each ticket. Use the code TGF at getout.com.

Periodically, GetOut will have promotional pricing on top of this discount. If so, the promotions may stack so that you can get both discounts applied.

How Often Can You Visit a Venue?

Each venue has a different offer regarding how many times you can visit. The major attractions allow you to visit once a year. Some may offer biannual entry, and others may offer quarterly or even monthly entry. Be sure to check the GetOut app or the website for details on each venue’s offer.

What are the Fine Print Restrictions?

Each venue has restrictions on when you can use the ticket. Some venues allow full access (any day of the week at any time they are open). Others might only allow certain days or certain activities to be included. For example, some venues that are offered in our area only offer weekday entrance, or they might only offer gravity ropes, but not bowling.

It’s easy to check the restrictions in the GetOut app before you go. Each venue has the information listed in the app to make it easy to look up.

How Do You Redeem a Ticket?

You might be wondering if there are any headaches to redeeming your tickets. The simple answer is no. Redeeming a ticket is very simple because of the GetOut app.

Once you purchase your tickets online (this link has your $5 coupon already applied) and create your login, save your login info.

Then, download the GetOut app in the App Store.

Log in to your account.

Your tickets will be there.

If you have a former Pogo Pass account, the same login credentials should get you in.

Using the GetOut App

Once you log into the GetOut app, it will be defaulted to the main GetOut Activities in the center, and should look something like this:

The venues will show up, and you can scroll down to see everything available. If you “heart” a venue, it will rise to the top so it’s easier for you to find again.

My ticket says 0/4 Used because I have 4 tickets for my entire family, all under my account. We haven’t used those tickets yet. Once we use them, it will show that 4/4 are used.

The bottom left shows you how often you can use a ticket.

Ex. 1 x Yearly or 1 x Bi-Annually

Once you click on a venue, the details of that venue will show up, like this:

When you scroll down some more, it will show the days that the venue is available to be used.

When the days of the week are highlighted with the Blue color, those are the days that are available for redemption.

If you select the Redeem tab, that is where you can redeem your ticket at the venue. Wait until you are about to go through the entrance before doing this. Here, you can select who is redeeming the ticket.

Once you click the Redeem button, a code will show that the venue can scan.

That’s it!

There are several other icons at the bottom of the app that make it easy to plan your outings. The Calendar tab shows you which venues are available to use that day.

The Map icon will take you to a map with all the venues mapped so that you can see how close or far each venue is from where you are – a super handy feature! You can zoom in and out, just like using any other map app.

How Does Account Management Work?

You can manage your account on the GetOut’s website or on the Menu tab with the 3 bars on the bottom right in the app.

I set up one account for all the tickets in my family. I share my login with my husband so that he can download the app and also log into the same account with all of our family members’ tickets. This way, when we go together to a venue, he can redeem the tickets for us, or vice versa.

If one of us goes to a venue with one of our children, we both have access to the tickets on our phones, and we can redeem only tickets for the 2 of us.

Tickets will be auto-renewed unless you cancel. If you aren’t looking to renew for the following year, be sure to log in to your account and cancel before your membership expires.

Is the GetOut Pass Worth It?

This all depends on your desire to go to the venues offered with the GetOut Pass. If you have at least 3-5 venues you’d like to go to, I definitely think it’s worth it. Every other venue you go to after that feels like icing on the cake.

Even though we’ve been to many of these venues with Pogo Pass, we’ll probably go to these venues with the GetOut pass again. Since these are annual passes, after a year goes by, my kids are sometimes ready to go again. If there’s a new place added, they are definitely up for the adventure. They love novelty.

If you’ve never tried the GetOut pass, I definitely think it’s worth it for weekends and breaks when you have nothing planned and just need to keep kids occupied. I see parents bringing their laptops and working at some of these venues while kids play. I know I needed that on some of those summer days when we weren’t on vacation. It can get pretty loud, though. Be forewarned. Bring your earphones or ear plugs if you need to.

I’m planning on using the GetOut pass for all the venues I didn’t get a chance to try yet. Some were a little farther away, so I didn’t get a chance to make it to them yet, but I’m going to make the effort to go to those this year!

If you want to try the GetOut pass, you can use this link to get the $5 discount applied to each ticket in your order.

Or use the code TGF when you check out at getout.com

Hope you have a fun year of using the pass!
