Looking to take your kids to a KidZania in the USA? There is only one Kidzania in the United States, and it is located in the northern suburbs of Dallas, TX. Next time you’re in the Dallas area, take your kids to the KidZania in Frisco, TX!
After traveling around the world and experiencing KidZania locations around the world (specifically Seoul and Singapore), we were so happy to find one in the USA. What made it even better was that we had just moved to the Dallas area from New York. How lucky were we to find Kidzania so close to our new home!

We saved our trip to KidZania until our nephews came to visit over the holidays so that we could all go together. It was nice to have a place to take your kids for some fun indoors during the winter.
We took our first trip to KidZania in December of 2020 and at that time, masks were required and the toddler area was closed (I assume for safety reasons), but there was still enough to do for our first trip to KidZania.
This post has been updated in 2025 with the current programs, prices, and information.

What Exactly Is KidZania?
KidZania is called “a city built for kids.” It’s a place where kids can pretend to work different jobs. Every KidZania location has different “jobs” based on the company sponsorships. For the Dallas location, you can see the sponsors here. From being a fire fighter, a vet, a podcaster, to a sports trainer or doctor, there are so many jobs to try.

How Does KidZania Work?
So, you’re probably wondering, how exactly does KidZania work?
Kids receive KidZandia currency called “kidZos” to buy experiences, buy items at a store, or deposit in a KidZania bank account. Kids that are ages 4+ receive a 50 kidZos to start, and as they “work” at different businesses, they can earn more. They work in exchange for a payment, much like they would in the real world!
Different jobs pay different kidZos depending on the difficulty of the job.
Some activities at KidZania are not jobs and are instead considered fun activities, so they require you to pay for those experiences rather than earn money–like the climbing wall. KidZos can be used to pay for these experiences.

Kids can also save the money they earn by depositing their kidZos into a KidZania bank account or use them at the store for prizes at the end of the day.
If you upgrade with the membership, you’ll get additional kidZos to start your day.
We started our day at the bank to set up bank accounts for the kids. From there, the older kids wanted to climb the wall (which costs kidZos), while I took our little guy on a stroll around the city to see what he’d like to do. He eventually decided that he wanted to be a firefighter. He went through fire training before he was dispatched to be a firefighter. You can see our Instagram reel of his experience.

It’s very interesting to see what your kids enjoy doing and what they don’t. We took a family friend’s daughter to our trip as well, and she really did not enjoy the experience of doing surgery and had to leave mid-way. I don’t blame her! It can be very squemish to see organs inside a body. My kids, however, were fascinated and poked and prodded the body on the surgical table the whole time. I was surprised they weren’t grossed out!

KidZania Hours
KidZania is open on weekends only, from Friday – Sunday, which makes sense since kids are in school during the week! Currently, their hours are:
- Friday: Noon – 7 pm
- Saturday: Noon – 7pm
- Sunday: Noon – 7 pm
- Mon – Thurs: Closed
How Long Should You Expect To Stay?
Each time we visit a KidZania location, we end up staying until closing time. So, how long you spend there depends on when you arrive; it’s likely your kids won’t want to leave until closing time. You’ll want to get the most out of your entrance fee anyway.
Budget at least 4-6 hours to spend there. If you’re there from open to close, that will be 7 hours!
It can feel like a long day, especially for adults. Fortunately, there is a little convenience store where you can grab a coffee and relax while your kids go on their adventures. You’ll find yourself following them around, taking photos and videos all day, so a little coffee doesn’t hurt.
There can be a lot of waiting in lines for some of the jobs, depending on how many kids want to do the same job at the same time. Keep your kids hydrated and fed to prevent crankiness!
There’s a place to grab a meal, and even a soft serve vending machine for an ice cream break, so there’s no need to leave Kidzania once you arrive.

Kidzania Dallas Ticket Price
All-Day Ticket
So, how much does this all cost, you wonder? There are various types of tickets you can buy, but for a single all-day city pass, the prices are as follows:
- Babies (Under 2 Years): Free
- Toddlers (2-3 Years): $16.95
- 4 – 14 Years Old: $49.95
- Adults (15+): $16.95
Please note that if you are an adult, even if you can’t participate in any of the activities, you are required to pay for a ticket to enter. The activities are meant for kids, so adults usually stay outside each location while their kids are engaging in the activity. You can see them through the glass, so you can take photos.
Season Pass
There’s also an option to get a Season Pass where you can go 3 times during a span of 60 days. With this ticket for kids, an adult ticket is included for free.
- A Children’s 60-Day Access Pass (ages 4-14) is $165 (at the time of this writing in 2025)
- A Toddler’s 60-Day Access Pass (ages 2-3) is $110
Open-Date Ticket
You also have the option to purchase an Open-date ticket, which gives you a ticket that is valid for 60 days with no specific dates attached, so if you don’t know exactly which date you want to, choose this ticket option. There are three types of Open-date tickets:
- Open-date Comfort KidZania Ticket: For an extra $5, you can purchase an Open-date comfort ticket – to be used on any day within 60 days for $56.95.
- Open-Date Business Class KidZania Ticket: For $66.95, your kid can upgrade to Business Class, which gives them a dedicated Check-In line at KidZania Airport, a reserved Bakery Activity, and a free drink.
- Open-Date First Class KidZania Ticket: For $72.95, you can get an Open-Date First Class ticket, which gives all of the above from the Business Class Ticket + a reserved Premium Restaurant Activity, Reserved Chobani Yogurt Innovation Factory Activity, and a Temporary Park Exit.
KidZania Dallas Membership Program
If you live locally and want unlimited access to KidZania any day and at any time, you can purchase the Membership Program, which is $29.95/month per child. There’s only a 3-month commitment to join for unlimited play.
B·KidZanian PaZZport Membership
KidZania also offers something called B·KidZanian. It is a paZZport membership program that you can join for a one-time membership fee of $13.95. Once you join, kids can receive a personalized souvenir paZZport, which they can get stamped at their jobs. Having this paZZport allows kids to earn more kidZos (KidZania currency) when they participate in a “job” and get a discount at the store.
We paid this one-time fee so that that our kids would be able to have this paZZport. At the end of the day, kids can redeem the money they earned for prizes in the prize shop.
You can read more about the paZZport membership here.
What Age Is KidZania For?
Although all age kids can go to KidZania, the ideal age is probably 5 -12 age. At that age, they can do all the climbing activities and won’t feel limited. When we went, our 9-year-old daughter was able to engage in all the activities and was really excited about everything, but our little guy (who was only 3 at the time) was a bit limited in what he could do.
He still had fun, and since it was still cheaper for his age, it was still worth it to take him. We’ll probably go again so they can try new jobs and activities, so he’ll get his chance!

How Long is Each KidZania Activity?
Most activities are about 15-25 minutes long, but can vary depending on the type of job. I wouldn’t expect kids to be able to complete all activities offered at KidZania since sometimes lines can be a bit long for popular jobs. Most likely you’ll have to make another trip.
If there’s something your child really wants to try, plan to do it towards the beginning of your trip (after you open a bank account), so they have a chance to fit it in.
Where Do Parents Hang Out While Kids Play?
Most parents are watching and taking photos of their kids doing their jobs and activities through the clear glass windows that are at each activity. Especially if you have young kids, you’ll want stay close by. These glass windows are great for taking photos and seeing what kids are doing.
However, there are seats for you to sit if you want a break. When we had our son’s birthday party, we had one parent check on the kids while some of us sat and chatted at an area that had a bunch of tables and chairs grouped together. It was a short walk from most of the activities.
There’s also a Parents’ Lounge upstairs for adults to use while kids are playing if you want to get away from the crowds for a little while.
You can also head to one of the restaurants to enjoy some food options, which also have tables and chairs.
Here are some additional tips on the Kidzania website.
Safety & Security
One thing I was surprised to find was how seriously they take security there. At the exit, they really make sure the kids leave with their parent. My friend came to pick up his daughter early (who we had brought with us), and the security person at the exit made sure that he was the parent before they let her go with him. He had to prove it before she was able to go with him.
Another thing to note is that if you have kids ages 8 and up, you can drop off your kids and spend some time walking around the mall. Kids are given RFID wristbands when you check in, and there are security cameras everywhere. I felt pretty good knowing that security was on top of it there.
Birthday Parties
If you live near the area, you can also host a birthday party here! What a fun way to spend a birthday. Learn more about their birthday packages here.
We had a birthday party for our son there when he turned 5. They have a little room upstairs where you can rent out to have your party. Everyone had a great time and was free to stay as long as they wanted!
Final Thoughts
Overall, we love KidZania. It always provides a fun yet educational experience for our kids and is a great way to spend a day indoors when the weather outside is too hot or cold. Kids get a variety of hands-on interactive experiences, and with all the fun, they probably don’t even realize how much they are learning. It’s also in a super convenient location within a large mall, so if you need to go shopping for anything, you can do that too!
We enjoyed our experiences at KidZania and hope to go again soon!
